Hand Lamination in-person Workshop


Learn how to make a variety of light, fluffy and perfectly laminated pastries in-person with Sophia. This wonderful full-day workshop at the Sourdough Sophia bakery will take you step-by-step through each part of the process.

This workshop is ideal for anyone who would love to learn the basics of how to make pastry or hone existing skills and learn plenty of new ones! During the day, we will talk about all things lamination, ingredients, techniques, temperature control and baking. You’ll get all the hands-on experience you need to recreate the gorgeous pastries we make in our own bakery.

Each participant will create, from start to finish, their own hand-laminated pastries such as croissant, pain au chocolat and Danish pastries! And you get to take home everything you make of course! Sophia will share lots of tips and tricks for continuing your practice at home.

You’ll make your own croissant dough from scratch, the basis for all our effortlessly light pastries, then go on to see exactly how our croissant production works in the bakery!

This full day workshop will take place in the Sourdough Sophia Bakery in North London. A freshly baked lunch is included. You will also receive a Sourdough Sophia goodie bag containing some great items that you will need to bake your own bread at home. 


The workshop is taught entirely in-person by Sophia herself, and limited to 4 participants.

The class costs £200 for the day and includes a freshly baked lunch and Sophia will be available for all your Hand-Lamination questions!

Please bring something to take notes with. Although you’ll receive a full handout, it’s always useful if any questions come up.

We recommend you wear comfortable clothes with closed shoes that you are happy getting covered in flour!!
