COVID-19 Update

Updated 11th November 2020

We have been working hard since the outbreak of Covid 19 to help make our bakery as safe as possible for staff, customers and guests. We have followed the Health and Safety Executive risk assessments and guidance as well as completing a number of checks with guidance from the Food Standards Agency and Government publications. Below are a few resources we have utilised and will share with you if you require further reading.

Some precautions we are taking at the bakery:

We are currently using disposable cups, serving platters and cutlery packaging. All compostable paper/ plant based materials in an attempt to reduce environmental impact.

All tables and surfaces will be sanitised between customers, if we are busy and you see we haven’t got round to wiping a table down please do come and ask and we will do this promptly.

We have a large glass screen up for the till area and have minimal baristas working behind the area.

We take card payment only

We have hand sanitiser available for customers and staff and multiple hand washing stations for staff

All front of house staff will be required to wear a face mask whilst working in the bakery and we encourage all customers to also wear a mask if they would feel more comfortable doing so.

We are employing contactless delivery practices for our delivery service. Delivery riders will be required to wear gloves and a mask when delivering and everything will be carefully packaged before it is picked up.

For workshop attendees

We have the contact details of everyone who attend our workshops contact details and keep them via our bookings system. We ask that if any attendee does experience symptoms of Covid within 14 days of attending a workshop then you let us know so we can contact all attendees. We encourage you to follow government guidelines on testing and tracing. See here for details: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/nhs-test-and-trace-how-it-works

Workshop bookings cancelled within 14 days of the start of a course are not refundable or transferable to another date, unless we are able to refill your place. If we are able to do so we will give you a full refund, or you will be able to transfer to another date. The exception to this is if you or or any member of your household or support bubble, are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms such as a continuous cough or a high temperature within current isolation guidelines (see https://www.nhs.uk/ for details on current guidance). In this case we would ask that you do not attend the workshop and you will be able to receive a full refund or move to a new date.

We pride ourselves in high hygiene standards at all times but we have put extra measures in place to enable us to offer workshops at the bakery. Here are some of the extra precautions we have put in place:

Every attendee will have a set of their own equipment to avoid sharing of any equipment.

We ask that you wash and sanitise your hands very regularly throughout the workshop

We encourage all participants who attend workshop held inside the bakery to wear a face covering if they would feel more comfortable doing so. We ask that you provide your own. This is due to the fact that we will be in a shared space for a number of hours together.

We want you to feel confident coming to learn new skills with us so please do get in touch if you have any concerns before your workshop or indeed during and we will do our best to answer your questions and make reasonable changes for you.
